Hi there!

I'm Brittany, (she/her), a pre-registered clinical counsellor. (Meaning, I graduated with a Master's of Counselling Psychology degree and am awaiting official designation, which I expect by May 2026.)

When I was twelve, I discovered counselling was a profession, and felt it was the one for me, perhaps because I'm an eldest daughter - (if you know, you know). Since then, I've tried various jobs, including a support worker for folks with mental health challenges and diverse-abilities. In each job, I dreamt of working one-on-one in a deeper capacity, offering individualised care.

Outside of work, you can find me dabbling in hobbies such as creative writing, playing ukulele, and, in my ambitious moments, attempting to paint. In my less ambitious moments, I'm cozy on the couch with a cat, or connecting with loved ones.

How I work:

As a counsellor, I am open to creating art, using fidget toys, going for a walk, or sitting in the office. I believe the client/therapist relationship is crucial, and a clients' experience in-session makes the most impact. I tend to pull from trauma-informed methods like Internal Family Systems, Somatic-Based Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy.

I have worked with clients experiencing:

-        Deconstruction/faith transitions

-        Intimate partner violence/abuse recovery

-        Discovering aspects of self-identity

-        Anxiety and depression

-        Trauma

My services are available to individual adults and teens (ages 15+).
